Lindsay Lohan: our part in her downfall

You can hear it in the blogosphere today – the simultaneous urge to rescue Lindsay and rip her apart. It isn't pleasant or wholesome, but it's a part of our culture now that can't be abandoned. It's like watching the shit-brown oil pumping up from the Gulf of Mexico every day. It's horrible and regrettable and a disaster – but let it come, because it's a disaster we deserve and imagery that hypnotises us.
